Saving a Default Layout
What is a Default Layout in Trips?
A default layout in Trips refers to the standard arrangement and order of sections within your presentations. When you create a new presentation for the first time, Trips has a set of default sections that appear in the design and customisation area. However, you have the flexibility to modify the layout and create your own preferred arrangement to suit your needs.
Reordering Sections
To reorder sections within your presentation layout, follow these steps:
- Open the Design Editor.
- Hover your cursor over the section you want to reorder, which will show the action bar in the top-right of the section.
- Click the Up or Down icon in the action bar to shift the section to the desired position within your presentation.
By reordering sections, you can prioritize the content and present it in a logical sequence that suits your preferences and the needs of your clients.
Adding New Sections
To add new sections to your presentation layout, follow these steps:
- Open the Design Editor.
- Hover your cursor between two existing sections
- Click the "Add New Section" button
- Select the type of section you want to add from the available options in the panel on the left
- Once selected, the section will automatically populate in position
- Customize the newly added section by providing relevant information and content.
Adding new sections allows you to include additional details or highlight specific aspects of the charter trip, making your presentations more comprehensive and engaging.
Saving Layout as Default
To save your custom layout as the default setting for future presentations, follow these steps:
- Open the Design Editor.
- Arrange the sections and styles according to your desired default layout.
- Open the three-dot menu in the top-left of the Design Editor
- Click the “Save as default Itin’ layout” option
The next time you create a new presentation, each itinerary will automatically populate within the proposal in your saved layout, including the position and chosen style of each section.
By saving your layout as the default, you eliminate the need to rearrange sections and content for each new presentation, saving time and ensuring consistency across your proposals.
Customizing your default layout allows you to create a presentation structure that best represents your style and effectively communicates the information to your clients.
