Getting started with Trips

This guide will get you up to speed with the basics of using Trips. You’ll learn what a presentation is, what a route is, how to navigate the application, access your user settings, and more. This guide has everything you need to get started quickly and confidently.

What is a Presentation?

A presentation is simply anything that contains content you would like to present to a client. A presentation might include:

A single or collection of yachts,
A single or collection of routes,
A combination of both, additional information, and more.

In this way, a presentation can also be considered a proposal, itinerary, brochure, or other industry terms based on the type of information that is being displayed and shared. The great thing about presentations is that they can be anything you want.

To create a new presentation, start by clicking on the Presentations Tab in the main navigation > and select 'New Presentation'. Follow our step-by-step guide 'Creating and Editing a Presentation' for more information.

What is a route?

A Route is simply sequence of locations arranged by days or stops:

A route might include:

An overview
Location descriptions
Location Images

There is no style associated with a route; it is purely the raw data.

Ankor has a vast library of routes to choose from. Start by browsing and then editing an existing route or creating a new one from scratch. Follow our step-by-step guide 'Creating and Editing a Route' for more information on this topic.

Getting around

Getting around Trips is simple and straightforward. Simply click on the area you would like to perform an action for:

The 'Presentations' tab: You can manage all presentation-related actions.

The 'Routes' tab: You can browse our huge database of off-the-shelf Routes and manage all route-related actions.

The 'Yachts' tab: You can browse our huge database of Yachts and manage all yacht-related actions.

Whats the difference between CA Verified Yachts and Ankor Managed Yachts?

CA Verified: These are yachts directly managed and administered by a reputable and trustworthy central agent. Central agents undergo a rigorous vetting process to ensure they have the authority to manage and update the yacht’s data. Yachts labeled as CA Managed can be trusted as the most accurate and reliable source of information.

Ankor Managed: These are yachts managed and maintained by Ankor’s internal team. While we strive to keep the yacht data as accurate and up-to-date as possible, we cannot guarantee complete accuracy. Ankor managed yachts are best suited for presentations requiring lower fidelity and should always be validated before forming any legally binding agreements.

Access your Global User Settings

Accessing your global user settings information can be done from anywhere within the application. Simply click on your avatar in the top right of the main ribbon of the screen and choose the relavent setting drop-down that you wish to view or make edits to.

1. Light/Dark Mode Toggle: This mode is very useful, especially for protecting your eyes if you are working at night or in a dark room. To use it, simply click on the icon, and the mode will switch to whichever is the opposite of the current mode. By default, you will start in Light Mode.

2. Profile & Company: This tab allows users to edit the personal and company information that shows as default for all Presentations that are created. Past presentations will not be affected by changes here.

3. Style & Branding: This tab allows users to edit the font and colour preferences that shows as default for all Presentations that are created. Past presentations will not be affected by changes here.
