In this guide, we will go over each field in the yacht's profile, explaining their meaning in depth.

Specifications

This is the most comprehensive section for adding information, but it's also the least likely to change frequently.

Basic Information

  • Yacht Name: The name of the yacht (uneditable).
  • MMSI: The Maritime Mobile Service Identity number (uneditable).
  • Yacht Type: The type of yacht (e.g., motor yacht, sailing yacht, etc.).
  • Crewed/Bareboat: Specifies whether the yacht is crewed (with crew) or bareboat (no crew).
  • Searchable Tags: Tags that help make your yacht more discoverable in searches (more on managing searchable tags).
  • Modal: The yacht's modal, which refers to the specific category or classification of the yacht.
  • Crew: The number of crew members aboard the yacht.
  • Sleeps: The number of guests the yacht can accommodate overnight.
  • Cruising Capacity: The maximum number of guests the yacht can carry while cruising.
  • Static Capacity: The number of guests the yacht can accommodate when stationary (e.g., at a dock or anchor).

Design & Builder

  • Build Year: The year the yacht was originally completed.
  • Builder: The name of the company or individual who built the yacht.
  • Architect: The name of the original or most recent architect, if applicable.
  • Interior Designer: The name of the original or most recent interior designer, if a refit was done after the build year.
  • Refit Year: The year of any refit or renovation. If no refit has occurred, leave this field blank.

Yacht Description

Here, you can write a creative description of your yacht, highlighting the unique features that set it apart from others. Think of this section as a preview—if the viewer reads nothing else, they should be able to understand the key details about your yacht and decide if it fits their needs and desires.

License & registration 

License: The official permit or certification allowing the yacht to operate legally in specific waters or regions. This may include any required certifications for commercial use or chartering.

Registration: The official documentation that identifies the yacht, often including details like its name, builder, and port of registry. It is issued by the relevant maritime authority and serves as proof of ownership and legality.

Performance 

Top Speed (kn): The maximum speed the yacht can reach, measured in knots (nautical miles per hour), typically under ideal conditions.

Cruising Speed (kn): The optimal or comfortable speed at which the yacht operates during regular cruising, measured in knots.

Fuel Capacity (L): The total amount of fuel the yacht can store, measured in liters, which determines its range and how far it can travel without refueling.

Engines: The type, number, and power of the yacht's engines, which drive the vessel and determine its performance and capabilities.

Cabin Layout

Cabin Name: The name or designation of the cabin, such as "Master Cabin," "VIP Cabin," or "Guest Cabin." This helps differentiate the various cabin types on the yacht.

Quantity: The number of cabins of that particular type available on the yacht, such as how many "Master Cabins" or "Guest Cabins" there are.

Configuration

Total No. of Cabins: The total number of cabins on the yacht, including all types (e.g., master, guest, VIP, etc.).

Bathrooms: The number of bathrooms available to guests on the yacht, ensuring comfort and convenience during their stay.

Decks: The total number of decks on the yacht, which may include upper, main, lower, or sun decks, depending on the yacht's design.

Dimensions

Length (m): The overall length of the yacht, measured from the bow (front) to the stern (back), typically in meters. 

Category: The classification or type of yacht, such as motor yacht, sailing yacht, or expedition yacht, based on its design and purpose.

Beam (m): The width of the yacht at its widest point, measured in meters. A larger beam can provide more space and stability.

Draft (m): The depth of the yacht's hull below the waterline, measured in meters. It determines how shallow or deep the yacht can go in the water.

Hull Type: The design and shape of the yacht's hull, such as mono-hull (single hull) or multi-hull (catamaran, trimaran), affecting stability and performance.

Hull Construction: The materials used to build the yacht's hull, such as fiberglass, steel, aluminum, or wood, influencing durability, weight, and performance.

Tonnage (gt): The gross tonnage, a measure of the yacht's internal volume, which is used to determine its size and capacity.

Super Structure: The portion of the yacht above the main deck, including areas like the bridge, saloon, and other upper structures.

Main Sail Types: The types of sails used on the yacht for propulsion, typically referring to the largest sail on a sailing yacht (e.g., full-batten, in-mast furling, etc.).

Genoa Types: The types of Genoa sails used on a sailing yacht, which are large foresails that work with the main sail for additional propulsion, including variations like furling, overlap, or non-overlap.

Additional Information

This section allows you to add any extra details about your yacht that don't fit into the other profile categories.

Toys & Amenities

This is where you list the toys, amenities, entertainment options, and tenders available on your yacht. Keeping this information up to date is essential to avoid disappointing your guests.

Toys: The recreational equipment available on the yacht for guest enjoyment, such as jet skis, kayaks, water slides, or snorkelling gear.

Amenities: The comfort and luxury features provided on the yacht, including items like air conditioning, Wi-Fi, hot tubs, and gym facilities.

Entertainment: The various entertainment options available onboard, such as satellite TV, movie libraries, music systems, and gaming consoles.

Tenders: Smaller boats or vessels that accompany the yacht, used for transportation to shore or for water-based activities like fishing or sightseeing.

Pricing

Edit and customise your yacht's pricing options to match your preferred pricing structure. You can add multiple pricing packages as needed. 

Display Pricing Name: The name of the pricing package as it will appear to users.

Active: Indicates whether the pricing package is currently available for selection.

Description: A brief explanation of what the pricing package includes and any relevant details.

Pets Allowed: Specifies whether guests are permitted to bring pets onboard under this pricing package.

Pricing: The cost structure of the package, which can be set as weekly, daily, or hourly rates.

Currency: The currency in which the pricing is displayed and charged.

Amounts Are: Defines how taxes are handled in the pricing, with options for Tax Inclusive (included in the price), Tax Exclusive (added separately), or No Tax (not applicable).

Line Item: A breakdown of individual cost components within the pricing package, such as base rates, additional services, or optional add-ons.

Conditions: Any special terms or requirements that apply to the pricing package, such as minimum booking durations or restrictions.

Quantity: Specifies the number of units available under this pricing structure (e.g., limited availability packages).

Price: The actual cost assigned to the package based on the chosen pricing model.

Pricing Period: The start and end dates when this pricing package is valid.

Repeats Every Year: An option to automatically renew this pricing package for future years.

Operating Area: The geographical region where this pricing applies, which could be specific destinations or cruising zones.

Toys and Amenities: Can either match the yacht's default offerings or be customized for this specific pricing package to include or exclude certain features.

Seasons

Specify the seasons your yacht operates in and the corresponding time periods. You can also link pricing options to specific seasons, controlling when those prices apply throughout the year.

Seasons: Define different pricing seasons such as High, Shoulder, Low, and Special.

Description: Provide a brief overview of the season and any relevant details.

Active Period: Set the start and end dates for the season.

Repeats Every Year: Choose whether this season should automatically renew for future years.

Add as many seasons as you like by clicking '+ Add Another Season'. 

Crew

Adding crew profiles helps build trust and put a face to the name of your vessel. Include details like their Full name, Crew job title, Crew member Blurb, and a photo.  

Add as many Yacht profiles as you like by clicking '+ Add another Crew Member'. 

Media

Media

 Upload high-resolution images of your yacht’s interior, exterior, and lifestyle shots, including photos of toys and amenities.

Attachments

Upload attachments to your yacht's profile, such as a PDF brochure, sample menu, or other relevant documents. Click '+ Add Another Attachment' to include multiple files. To remove an attachment, simply click the trash can icon next to it.

Aditional Links

Add relevant links to videos, websites, social media, and more. Customize the link name and URL, add additional links by clicking 'Add Another Link,' or remove them easily using the trash icon.

CA Contact

Provide the contact information for anyone who handles inquiries about your yacht or responds to a special offer on the Noticeboard. Accurate details are essential to avoid lost inquiries.

You can add as many people to the contact area as you would like by clicking '+ Add Another Contact'.
