How API Integration can drive Enquiries as a Central Agent

In this guide you will learn the benefits of API integration and how that drives enquiries as a central agent.

What is API Integration?

API integration Application Programming Interface (API) is the process of connecting two or more software applications together to sharing data and functionality.

As a central agent, our Calendars app securely stores your fleet data, ensuring that only verified Retail Agents or Charter Brokers can view or make inquiries. With your permission however, Retail Agents can also display this data on their business websites to help drive more inquiries for you. By granting access, you’re giving your yacht more visibility and increasing its chances of being booked.

How it works

What listing Information do I give access to when I approve API Integration?

“Listing Information” means the information that a Retail Agency reasonably requires in order to display and confirm a booking for a client including but not limited to:

  1. Your Yacht’s booking calendar,
  2. Specifications, Amenities, etc
  3. High resolution colour media and photographs
  4. Crewing details,
  5. Charter rates

How do I approve API Access for my fleet?

As we do not share your yacht data for API integration without your explicit concent, you will need to modify your settings to allow Charter Brokers and Retail Agents access to your fleets data. To activate the API integration,

  1. Simply go to the your Settings,
  2. then click the toggle under 'API Integration'.

What if I change my mind and want to turn off API Integration?

You have full control over the data you share and can disable the API integration at any time. Our Retail Agents and Charter Brokers must follow strict policies, including deleting your data within a specified period if you change your API integration settings.
